Safety & Boundaries

Intertwined Hands

Peer Mentoring Platform

Our Commitment to You

Your well-being is the only thing that matters here.

We designed this platform to be a space where you can be real, feel heard, and know that you're in a safe, responsible, and ethical environment.

To keep this space helpful for everyone, we have some clear lines in the sand. These boundaries make sure every interaction stays respectful, appropriate, and—most importantly—safe for you and our mentors.

End Note

Safety is not just a feature of this platform; it is the foundation.

By maintaining clear boundaries, structured processes, and careful oversight, this space is designed to support you responsibly while encouraging you to seek the help you deserve.

Keeping Things Safe & Supportive

What Support Space Is

A Relaxed Way to Find Support

This platform is:

  • A judgment-free listening space where you can share what's on your mind anonymously

  • A moderated system, where all responses are reviewed before being sent

  • A guided support platform where mentors follow a consistent and careful framework

  • A helpful bridge to connect you with trusted adults or professional resources when you need a bit more help

The goal is to provide thoughtful, supportive responses — we aren't here to replace doctors or therapists.

What Support Space Is Not

Understanding the Limits

To maintain safety and clarity, it is important to understand what this platform does not provide:

  • It is not therapy or counselling

  • It is not a crisis service for emergencies

  • It does not provide medical or psychological advice

  • It does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions

  • It is not a replacement for professional help

These rules are here so you always know where to find the right level of support when things get heavy.

Getting You Extra Help

When Additional Support Is Needed

If you share something that needs expert attention, we have a protocol to make sure you aren't left alone.

Submissions may be flagged for escalation if they include:

  • Expressions of suicidal thoughts or intent

  • Hurting yourself or self-harm

  • Reports of abuse or harm from others

  • Being in immediate danger

In these moments, we won't just try to handle it ourselves. We will guide you straight to crisis services, pros, or trusted adults who can actually help keep you safe.

Adult Check-ins

Every Response Is Reviewed

To ensure safety and quality:

  • All submissions are reviewed before being assigned

  • Responses are written by trained peer mentors

  • A platform lead checks every single response before it hits your inbox.

This layered review process helps maintain:

  • accuracy

  • appropriate tone

  • adherence to safety guidelines

Mentor Responsibilities & Boundaries

Clear Guidelines for Peer Mentors

Peer mentors follow strict guidelines to ensure responsible engagement.

Mentors are required to:

  • Use structured response formats

  • Avoid giving medical or psychological advice

  • Maintain respectful and supportive language

  • Escalate any high-risk situations immediately

Mentors are not allowed to:

  • Diagnose conditions

  • Offer therapy or counselling

  • Communicate outside the platform

  • Promise secrecy in situations involving risk

These boundaries protect both the user and the mentor.

Privacy & Anonymity
(Ghost Mode: Always On)

Your Identity Is Protected

  • No names or identifying information are required

  • No accounts or logins are needed

  • Submissions are handled through a controlled system

You are free to share what you feel comfortable sharing, without concern about your identity being exposed.
